Bryan Easter
Bryan Easter has a unique perspective in educational leadership both as a school board member of 6 years with PBVUSD and a small district Superintendent with the Maple School District, both located in Kern County. Bryan understands the intricacies of governance practices as well as educational policy development. Bryan is also an advocate for intentional EdTech in the classroom and has focused over the past year on reducing classroom screen time across all grade levels in both districts where he serves. Advocating for strong policy development statewide in this area has also been a priority in his leadership. Bryan contributes in other education areas such as with the CSBA Small School Districts advisory, the Superintendent Executive Council for Kern County SELPA and the Kern County Schools Legal Services JPA Board of Directors. His passion for reducing screen time in classrooms is rooted in his personal experience on a digital detox journey as well as the experiences his family has encountered with classroom EdTech.

Ally Bickham
Ally Bickham is a second grade teacher with experience working in public schools in Bakersfield, California. Throughout her undergraduate and graduate programs, Ally focused on research examining the impacts of technology on children. She is passionate about supporting healthy childhood development through hands-on, engaging learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and meaningful connection. Ally joined this coalition to advocate for thoughtful, child-centered teaching approaches that help educators navigate the role of technology in young learners’ lives while prioritizing learning and real-world engagement.

Jeremy Adams
Jeremy S Adams is a high school teacher and author who has taught at Bakersfield High school for 28 years. He is the author of Hollowed Out: A Warning About America’s Next Generation. He was awarded the 2012 Kern County teacher of the year, was the 2013 Daughters of the American Revolution, California State teacher of the year, and was the first teacher ever inducted into the CSUB Hall of Fame in 2018. His writing has appeared in Newsweek, the Washington Post, The LA Times, The New York Post, National Review, and many other outlets.

Daniel Green
Daniel Green is a marketing professional with extensive experience in communication and leadership. He’s been instrumental in shaping brand strategies across a variety of industries. Beyond his career, Daniel is active in community initiatives, driven by a desire to foster positive change. As both a parent of a teen and preteen and a professional who works closely with technology, he is passionate about encouraging healthier screen habits and helping create a more balanced future for students. Through ScreenWise Schools, he combines his expertise and personal perspective to help ensure a balanced, positive future for students.

Brandi Bazemore
Brandi Bazemore is a wife and mother of two wonderful children aged 10 and 8. She serves on the coalition alongside her husband of 17 years, Trevor Bazemore. Brandi is passionate about spending intentional time with her family and raising two strong young girls to love learning, live a gospel centered life, and to grow into confident women that embrace challenges. Brandi currently works for a large High School District in California and believes there are great educational opportunities in public schools. She has worked in Special Education as an Adapted Physical Education Specialist for seven years and worked prior as a physical education teacher for six years. Brandi has over a decade of experience specializing in movement, gross motor development, and the importance of hands-on recreational activities. Her passion for the work of the coalition is rooted in personal screen time experience in her daughter's classrooms.

Trevor Bazemore
Trevor Bazemore is a loving husband and father. He has been married to Brandi Bazemore for seventeen years. He has two amazing children who are in the second and fifth grade. He supports his children in their academic and extracurricular activities. Trevor has worked in the field of special education for 18 years as a teacher and program specialist. He advocates daily for students with disabilities to have equitable access to their education. He believes that all children deserve the right to a fair and public education. Trevor supports the coalition with the belief in traditional teaching methods and that children learn best from teacher to student instruction.

Chris Barnett
Chris Barnett has a background as an electrician, active community member, and is a current student. He experienced a traumatic fall at work in 2021 and lives life in a wheelchair as a C6 Quadriplegic. He has a love for the outdoors and can be found riding his bike any chance he gets. Driven by his faith and love for his friends and family, he has joined this coalition with a dream to see others enjoy the life they have beyond any screen, as he has struggled with screen addiction throughout his life.
