Phone Free School Day Act

Prohibits the use of cellphones and other connected devices during the regular school day.  Includes 2 implementation options and imposed cost provisions

Classroom Technology Balance Act

Amends SB 1128 by directing the Instructional Quality Commission to recommend policy and framework on appropriate screen time use in classrooms.  Includes generative AI access recomendations.

EdTech Accountability Act

Adds language to Education Code 60010 relating to the adoption of educational technology and requirements for vendors.  These requirements will include monitoring features and accessible reports relating to total screen time, program usage and more.

Teacher Prep and Tech Act

Requires the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) to convene a workgroup and revise the CSTP's for new teachers to address balanced, developmentally appropriate, and health-conscious use of educational technology

Digital Wellness Family Resource Act

Expands Education Code 51929 requiring digital wellness resources be created in the states top 5 languages as well as be made available by July 1, 2028.   Resources must also address a number of areas practical for families.
